CivitAI's public API deliberately omits prices — paidAccess is trimmed to
{permanent, endsAt} because "pricing belongs to the purchase flow" — but the
public model page embeds the site's own model.getById result, including
paidAccess.terms, in its server-rendered payload. That is read anonymously
(no API key, no internal endpoint, no forged Origin), one request per gated
model, so only the ~2% of models that actually carry a gate pay for it.
- optional capture, off by default: price_tracking_enabled,
price_alert_threshold_buzz (0 = alert on "became free" only) and
price_check_ttl_hours; prices refresh on their own TTL and immediately when a
gate changes, and a failed fetch keeps the stored price instead of blanking it
- versions that stop carrying a gate are marked free (persisted gate_lapsed_at)
and gate transitions are reported as events on the refresh response, so a
version already in the library can announce that it became free
- price_alert_state plus a price_drop edge event; new
GET /api/lm/{type}/updates/price-alerts lists what is under the threshold
- versions tab shows the price (effective, with the list price struck through
and a Blue Buzz note) and a Free Now badge; an update check toasts the
transitions in one message
- the parser and the alerts query are unit-tested against a trimmed page
fixture, and every route definition is now asserted to resolve to a handler
Plan, verification notes and the deviations from it are in
docs/plans/paid-model-price-tracking.md.
CivitAI's PaidAccess cutover deprecated the availability=EarlyAccess and
earlyAccessEndsAt signals; gated versions now report availability=Public
with a paidAccess DTO that LoRA Manager previously ignored, so "Hide
Early Access Updates" missed paid/early-access models and downloads
failed with 401.
Parse and persist paidAccess from model-level, bulk, and by-hash
responses; treat timed paid gates as early access and permanent paid
versions as a distinct is_paid state; add a hide_paid_updates setting
with a "Paid" badge in the versions tab; warn before downloading gated
versions. Includes SQLite migration, i18n for all locales, and
backend/frontend tests.
Fix ~790 basedpyright errors across the test suite:
- Type stub subclasses of real production classes with super().__init__()
- Add missing generic type arguments and Dict[str, Any] annotations
- Add None guards before subscript/member access
- Adapt tests to production API changes (removed dead handlers,
PersistentModelCache.get_default, _i18n_filter_added location)
Add Early Access version support with filtering and improved UI:
Backend:
- Add is_early_access and early_access_ends_at fields to ModelVersionRecord
- Implement two-phase EA detection (bulk API + single API enrichment)
- Add hide_early_access_updates setting to filter EA updates
- Update has_update() and has_updates_bulk() to respect EA filter setting
- Add _enrich_early_access_details() for precise EA time fetching
- Fix setting propagation through base_model_service and model_update_service
Frontend:
- Add smart relative time display for EA (in Xh, in Xd, or date)
- Replace EA label with clock icon in metadata (fa-clock)
- Show Download button with bolt icon for EA versions (fa-bolt)
- Change EA badge color to #F59F00 (CivitAI Buzz theme)
- Fix toggle UI for hide_early_access_updates setting
- Add translation keys for EA time formatting
Tests:
- Update all tests to pass with new EA functionality
- Add test coverage for EA filtering logic
Closes#815
- Rename `preview_overrides` to `version_context` to better reflect expanded purpose
- Add file_path and file_name fields to version serialization
- Update method names and parameter signatures for consistency
- Include file metadata from cache in version context building
- Maintain backward compatibility with existing preview URL functionality
The changes provide more comprehensive version information including file details while maintaining existing preview override behavior.
Add logic to only include model update records that have actual updates in the refresh response. This improves API efficiency by reducing payload size and only returning relevant data to clients.
The change:
- Adds filtering in ModelUpdateHandler.refresh_model_updates to check has_update method
- Only serializes records that have updates available
- Updates corresponding test to verify filtering behavior
This prevents returning unnecessary data for models that don't have updates available.
- Add set_version_update_ignore endpoint to toggle ignore status for specific versions
- Add get_model_versions endpoint to retrieve version details with optional refresh
- Update serialization to include version-specific data and preview overrides
- Modify database schema to support version-level ignore tracking
- Improve error handling for rate limiting and missing models
These changes enable granular control over version updates and provide better visibility into model version status.
