The new informational Windows job surfaced 91 failures: four real bugs (fixed in
the previous two commits) and a long tail of POSIX assumptions in the tests
themselves. None of them assert behaviour that differs on Windows, so they are
fixed rather than skipped wherever the behaviour is the same:
* Path spelling: expectations built with `str(tmp_path)` are compared through an
identity helper (`normalize_root_identity`) or the platform's separator, since
the code hands out forward-slashed business paths while `str()` is native.
* Root labels: `_root_display_labels` prefixes the drive on Windows ("C: loras"),
so label assertions compare the final path component or derive the expected
label from the same helper.
* `~` expansion reads USERPROFILE (ntpath), not HOME; timer granularity rounds
0.1s down; a case-only rename counts as "already named" via `os.path.normcase`.
* Genuinely POSIX-only strategies are skipped with a reason instead of failing:
the headless clipboard fallback, dbus file-manager selection, xdg-open, and
the case-fold index test that simulates a case-sensitive filesystem.
Deleting a folder that holds models answered "A deletion is still pending inside
this folder. Wait for the undo window to expire." even though nothing was staged
and no window was running. `.lm-pending-delete` is only a container: the purge,
the undo and the staging rollback all removed the batch dir inside it and left the
container behind, and the folder manifest matched the directory *name* alone. Any
folder where a model had ever been deleted with the undo window was therefore
undeletable for good, and the same name match refused folder renames.
* `staging_dir_has_content()` is the shared answer to "is there still a batch
here?": an empty container is a leftover, a quarantined batch (`*.orphaned`) is
preserved data and still counts, and an unreadable directory counts too — never
delete over something that could not be listed.
* The container is removed with its last batch (purge, undo, staging rollback,
merged-loser cleanup). `rmdir` only ever succeeds on an empty directory, and the
path is checked to really be a `.lm-pending-delete`, so a model folder is never
at risk.
* A manifest-less batch dir with nothing in it is a crash leftover between
`makedirs` and the manifest write: it is dropped instead of quarantined, which
would have left an empty container that blocks deletion just the same.
Verified: purge, undo and the empty-manifest-less sweep all leave no container
behind, the container survives while another batch is staged, and an empty one no
longer blocks folder delete or rename while a real (or quarantined) batch still
does. 3818 backend tests pass.
Bulk delete merged staged batches by physically moving each loser's
files into the winner's batch dir with os.rename. Cross-volume bulks
(winner and loser on different filesystems) always hit EXDEV, forcing a
rollback and degrading to the batch_ids array with per-batch undo.
Merge is now manifest-only: loser entries are appended to the winner's
manifest with their staged paths unchanged, so staged files keep living
in each model's own .lm-pending-delete/<batch_id> dir (no data IO, no
EXDEV). Loser dirs are recorded in the winner manifest's merged_sources
and each loser manifest is stamped merged_into so its own purge timer, a
post-restart sweep or a direct undo call no-op. A cross-volume bulk is
one undoable batch again, and undo/purge clean up the loser dirs once
the merged batch settles.
- Remove delete_undo_enabled setting (backend default, frontend state,
settings modal UI, 10 locales); staged deletes with 30s undo are now
the only delete path and stale settings keys are silently ignored
- Remove the 1500ms delete-button arm delay (armDeleteButton) from all
delete modals; misclicks are recoverable via the undo toast
- Delete modal always shows the recoverable warning
- Log the first staged file path in staging log lines for easier support
